Creativity With Art, Textiles & Photography
Our department aim is that Art and Textiles stimulates students’ creativity and confidence to explore the formal elements within art and textiles.
It is designed to support students in exploring their own self-expression, building. resilience and increasing their knowledge and skills by providing varied starting points which equip students with practical skills, techniques, and opportunities to explore and experiment with materials in response to the world around them.

Through our curriculum, students will become successful independent learners who enjoy learning about Art and Textiles.
Students experience a variety of feedback techniques to identify their potential and then cover areas where further progress can be made.

Students are provided with an atmosphere to explore and experiment with confidence, knowing that feedback will be supportive and valued.
Students are supported and encouraged to continue when faced with challenges in their work and to persevere in order to achieve a sense of accomplishment.
The Art and Textiles curriculum provides exciting variety intended to inspire and engage pupils and foster within them an eagerness to learn, to think creatively and to express their opinions and originality with confidence.
