We maintain strong partnerships with our local primary schools through regular visits, themed events, and activity days. We also host an annual Open Evening to welcome prospective families. Parents/Carers considering our school are warmly encouraged to contact us to arrange a visit and experience our school community first-hand.
Open Evenings/Mornings
Open Evening: Monday 21st September 2026, 4 – 7pm. Feel free to come along to view our school. You will be able to tour our school and visit all of our curriculum areas.
Open Mornings: Friday 25th September 2026, Friday 2nd, 9th, 16th October, all 9.30 – 11am. This is an opportunity to see a normal school day.

Year 6 Induction Evening: Thursday 18th June 2026 6.15pm to 7.15pm – Both parents, carers and students are invited to come into school to meet your new Form Tutor, teachers and classmates. We will be able to go through what you will need on the induction days and for the first day of term. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have, familiarise yourself further with the school and to make new friends.
Year 6 Transition Day: Thursday 25th June 2026 – A great opportunity for all students to experience your new school ready for September. You will have some lessons, spend time with your Form Tutor and new friends as well as get used the Dining Hall and other facilities.
Year 6 Parent Interviews: Thursday 25th June 2026 3.30 – 6.30pm – All parents/carers are invited to an interview with us in Ruskin. A great opportunity to ask any questions you may have on a one-to-one basis, get to know the school and staff better and understand what we require ready for the first day in September. We also run additional transition sessions for certain students to support them with their transition, these are discussed directly with their primary school teachers.

Year 5 Days
We run year 5 activity days for local primary school children to come and have a taster of a secondary environment. Year 5 children get to take part in some fun activities, speak to some of our students and get to meet some of our staff.
This year our year 5 activities days are taking place on Tuesday 7th July, Wednesday 8th July and Thursday 9th July 2026.
