Ofsted Inspection 6th March 2019

A monitoring and inspection visit was carried out at Ruskin High School on 6th March 2019. The school are delighted to share the news of our recent inspection with you. The school was judged to be a “GOOD” school, maintaining its previous result from 2015. This is thoroughly well deserved, and sincere thanks go to all students, staff, parents and Governors for supporting the school in achieving this.

The main findings show:

– The senior leaders and governors have worked very hard and successfully to establish an outward-looking
culture of high expectations of [all] that is accepted across the school.
– The large majority of pupils and different groups currently in the school are making and in some cases exceeding expected progress.
– Middle leaders are making an increasingly effective contribution to the school’s improvement
– Governors are an asset to the school. They have deep knowledge of its strengths and areas for development because they are frequent visitors to the school and involve themselves with increasing confidence in all aspects of its work.
